Why Schedule a Winter Photography Session in NH?
Of course, the winter months can be cold, but they are also beautiful and unique. Here are a few reasons why you should schedule a photography session in winter.
1. Reason #1- Snow is Beautiful
When we have snow on the ground, the landscape can be incredibly beautiful. When we get fresh fallen snow, light is softer, the trees are covered in sparkles and the landscapes are magical. The snow covers a lot of distractions and creates a winter wonderland.
Most dogs love to play in the snow too, so we can capture your dog having fun; whether chasing a toy or making the first footprints in fresh powder.
Your dog will likely stand out against the backdrop of snow. Unless your dog is all white, your dog's color will likely pop against a fully white landscape. And if your dog IS all white, the monochrome look can be beautiful.
2. Reason #2-Not Hot!
Winter isn't Hot! While I know that's obvious, that means sessions with your dog are cooler and panting dogs aren't an issue. We won't have to worry about the heat for your dog or for you. Humidity is low too, so no sweating, and no worries about trying to stay hydrated.
3. Reason #3- No Bugs
One wonderful reason to schedule a session in winter is the complete and utter lack of bugs. No mosquitos, no bees lurking in the flowers and no black flies hovering nearby ready to bite.
4. Reason #4- Fewer distractions at any given location
In the winter, people are staying inside more often, so parks and trail systems are less busy with people and other dogs. If your dog prefers a solo expedition, this is a perfect time to schedule your session.
After your session, you have an excuse for a hot coffee or hot chocolate and an afternoon on your couch by a fire. Not that you need an excuse!
